I literally decided to take the plunge after chatting with Amelia when we met last year, and saying 'I'd love to come along if you're ever near Bath......' - anyway I got the call and our rendezvous was planned for a Monday in September in the River Avon at Dundas. It was a beautiful day, which made it much easier to envisage myself straining into a wetsuit and sliding into some cold water and hopefully not losing my nerve in the process. I am not a natural when it comes to water so doing this was a big deal for me, having only learnt to swim properly a couple of years ago, in a very warm pool. Amelia talked me through every single part of the process which was immensely reassuring as I was completely out of my comfort zone. But I enjoyed every moment of the experience, and even though I only did a few strokes, I managed to float on my back and not freak out which was such a feeling of achievement for me and this did wonders for my self confidence. I would thoroughly recommend having a session with Amelia, I will be going back as soon as we can safely meet again. It's such a seemingly simple thing to do, and in some respects it is, but it's so profound in many ways and to be guided by the best cannot be beaten. Thank you Amelia - I loved it!
