1:1 Swimoga Session

Acclimatisation session, for those new to the open water environment

  • 1 h
  • 40 British pounds
  • Venue TBC

Service Description

This session is open to anyone who would like to make the transition from pool to open water. All you need to be able to do is swim 200 metres comfortably (it's around 8 lengths of a 25m pool) I will let you know what you need to bring, but be prepared that the water temp can vary from location to location, so a wet suit may be helpful, as will gloves and booties. (Due to Covid-19 I am unable to lend equipment currently.) The session will last 45 mins, with 15 minutes preparation and some warm up stretches, and breath work. We will have 20-30 minutes water time (temperature dependent) and time to assess your progress. You will need to bring a snack and a warm drink and lots of layers, but we will go through this prior to the session by email. The location will be decided depending upon your individual aim as an outdoor swimmer, whether you want to sea, lake or river swim. We can discuss this by email or by phone, but options are in Clevedon lake or sea at high tide, and the River Avon near to Bath.
